Rockstar Drops an Anniversary Edition Update for Bully after Six Years!

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year hiatus, this update is a welcome surprise for fans, though it's exclusive to mobile and not available on console or PC.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update introduces new languages and emphasizes stability improvements and bug fixes. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to enhance the gaming experience.

The update brings several enhancements, including the activation of Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for Android users with compatible devices. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added to both Android and iOS platforms.

Several mission-specific issues have been resolved. For instance, the mission 'That Bitch' now allows players to successfully pick Mandy's locker, while 'Weed Killer' progresses correctly even if the window is broken prematurely. The notorious issue with police cars falling through the floor during 'The Rumble' has also been fixed. Furthermore, the update addresses the odd behavior where enemies wouldn't attack Jimmy, ensuring more balanced combat. It also tackles crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The Bully community has long been clamoring for a sequel, Bully 2, but Rockstar appears to have shifted focus. Reports suggest that Bully 2 was in development during the 2010s but was ultimately shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially given the departure of many original developers from Rockstar. While the new update isn't a full remaster or sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players.

For those unfamiliar with Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old rebel navigating the challenges of Bullworth Academy. The game is infused with Rockstar's signature humor and offers an open-world environment ripe for mischief.
