According to IO Interactive's website, this game promises to deliver an entirely new narrative within the iconic Bond universe.
In this eagerly awaited title, players will have the opportunity to step into the role of the world's most renowned Secret Agent and embark on a journey to earn their 00 status. This game will offer fans the very first James Bond origin story, a fresh take on the legendary character's beginnings.
Hakan Abrak, the head of IO Interactive, shared insights with IGN back in October about crafting this new origin story for the cherished spy. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak emphasized the ambition to create a narrative that starts from the very beginning and has the potential to evolve into a grand trilogy. "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
