January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue Report: Genshin Impact Soars
The gacha gaming market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some notable shifts in the top performers. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, experienced a dramatic surge in revenue, more than doubling its December 2024 earnings to a staggering $99.4 million.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokémon TCG secured a strong second-place finish with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, rounded out the top three, generating $55.2 million.
Conversely, Honkai: Star Rail saw a dip in earnings to $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant 50% decline, dropping from $57.9 million in the previous month to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that this ranking solely reflects mobile platform revenue. While some titles, including miHoYo's offerings, also have PC versions, this data focuses exclusively on mobile earnings. Furthermore, the report acknowledges that Chinese Android revenue is estimated using a multiplier based on iOS revenue due to the absence of Google Play in the region.
