Flat2VR Studios has exciting news for fans of the infamous trash shooter, announcing a virtual reality adaptation of Postal 2, which originally hit the shelves 22 years ago. They've kicked off the project with a captivating debut trailer that showcases the game's trademark humor and chaotic gameplay, ensuring it stays true to its roots.
The trailer follows the Dude as he humorously gathers signatures to support the development of Postal 2 VR. Later, the developers dive into some of the remake's standout features, including a redesigned shooting mechanic optimized for VR controllers, an updated user interface, and a refreshed mini-map system that promises to enhance the gameplay experience.
A dedicated Steam page for Postal 2: VR is now live, packed with screenshots, system requirements, and additional details. To dive into the PC version, you'll need at least Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU, and 8 GB of RAM. While Russian voiceovers won't be included, subtitles will be provided to ensure accessibility.
Despite these modern upgrades, the core experience remains faithful to the original. Players will still be tasked with completing mundane errands like grocery shopping and returning books to the library, but they're always free to abandon normalcy and dive into absolute mayhem at their whim.
Postal 2 VR will be available across various VR platforms, including SteamVR, PS VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, ensuring a broad range of players can experience the chaotic fun in virtual reality.
