Pokémon GO has announced a new Tour Pass launching February 24th, adding another exciting element to the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova. This year's event focuses on the Unova region, bringing Gen 5-themed wild encounters, raids, and egg spawns.
The annual Pokémon GO Tour, timed around Pokémon Day, celebrates a different region each year. The inaugural 2021 event featured Kanto, introducing nine previously unavailable Shiny Pokémon, including Mew and Ditto. Last year's Sinnoh event added special Pikachu variants and Dialga and Palkia Origin Forme.
In anticipation of the Pokémon GO Tour 2025, Niantic is releasing a new Tour Pass, available from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM local time. A free Pass is available to all players. Earning Tour Points through daily tasks, catching Pokémon, raids, and egg hatching levels up the Pass, unlocking rewards like Candy and Stickers at Minor and Major milestones. While the standard Tour Pass is free, a deluxe version will be available for $14.99 on the Pokémon GO webstore from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM. This version includes all free and paid track rewards, an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Victini, and a new Lucky Trinket. This single-use item transforms a friend into a Lucky Friend, guaranteeing a Lucky Pokémon on the next trade, then resetting the status. A variant with 10 unlocked ranks is also available for $19.99. Like the free Pass, deluxe rewards and the Lucky Trinket expire March 9th at 6 PM.
This Unova Tour Pass enhances the excitement surrounding the event, which features the Pokémon GO debuts of Kyurem Black and White via fusion (similar to Necrozma in last year's Tour) and Shiny Meloetta via ticketed Masterwork Research.
