Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!
Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the specifics!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
Announced on January 6th, 2025, Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held across three international cities:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
Further details will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
This annual event offers exclusive items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses for trainers worldwide. In-person events, requiring ticket purchase, provide unique city-specific experiences.
Expect rare Pokémon encounters not found in regular gameplay—think along the lines of Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow (as seen in 2024). Shiny Pokémon will also have increased appearance rates, varying by location. In-person attendees can look forward to exclusive merchandise, themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges.
While specifics are still under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years' events.
Two More Pokémon GO Events This January!
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over: (January 15th, 12:00 pm - January 19th, 8:00 pm local time)
- Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni.
- Debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai from 12 km Eggs.
- Other Shadow Pokémon appearances (Snivy, Tepig, etc.).
- Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk in snapshots.
Shadow Raid Day: Ho-Oh: (January 19th, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm local time)
- Five-Star Shadow Raids featuring Shadow Ho-Oh.
- $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chance, 2x Stardust, and 50% XP bonus from Raids.
- Increased Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate.
- Opportunity to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
