Pokemon Center Hiroshima Relocation and Gyarados Plaza Launch
Pokemon Center Hiroshima is temporarily closing its doors at the end of March 2025 and will reopen at a new location in April 2025. A new Gyarados-themed playground, the Gyarados Plaza, will open in March 2025 at a separate location.
New Location for Pokemon Center Hiroshima
The Pokemon Center will move to the second floor of Ekie, located at the north exit of Hiroshima Station. Its current location, on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, will close after March 2025.
Gyarados Plaza Opens at Hiroshima Station
The Gyarados Plaza by Pokemon Center Hiroshima will debut on March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, part of the new Minamoa building at Hiroshima Station. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment. Advance reservations may be required for a limited time after its opening. Check the official Minamoa website for details.
Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event
Before the relocation, Pokemon Centers across Japan will celebrate "Poke-lun TV" surpassing 1 million subscribers with a nationwide event. From January 17th to February 16th, 2025, fans can receive an exclusive sticker by visiting a participating Pokemon Center and providing a password obtained from a specific Poke-lun TV YouTube video (posted December 19, 2024).
Select Pokemon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will also feature photo opportunities with life-size cutouts of the Poke-lun TV hosts. This event excludes Pokemon Stores, Pokemon Center Online, Pokemon Cafes, and Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe.
