Previously known as Project Q, the PlayStation Portal boasts an 8-inch LCD screen with a crisp Full HD 1080p display at 60 frames per second. It seamlessly integrates the DualSense wireless controller's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, bringing the authentic PS5 experience to a portable format.

As Sony explains, "PlayStation Portal is perfect for gamers who share a living room TV or simply want to play PS5 games in another room." Connecting wirelessly to your PS5 via Wi-Fi, switching between your console and the Portal is quick and easy.

One of the key features of the PlayStation Portal is its Wi-Fi connection to your PS5, enabling effortless transitions between big-screen and handheld play. While initially, some users experienced connectivity challenges, Sony has addressed these issues. The PlayStation Portal Remote Player requires a broadband internet connection with a minimum of 5Mbps.

A major update (Update 3.0.1) now allows connection to public Wi-Fi networks and select 5GHz networks, significantly improving performance. Positive feedback from users on social media confirms the improved stability. One user even commented, "I’m the biggest portal hater, but mine is playing much much better so far."
