Overwatch 2 Teams Up with LE SSERAFIM Once Again: New Skins, Emotes, and Challenges Await
Overwatch 2 is set to reignite its exciting partnership with the popular K-pop sensation, LE SSERAFIM, launching a new collaboration event that promises fresh content and thrilling in-game experiences. This event is scheduled to kick off on March 18, 2025, aligning perfectly with the release of LE SSERAFIM's new album, "Hot." Following the success of their previous collaboration in November 2023, which celebrated LE SSERAFIM's track "Perfect Night," fans are eager to see what's new in store.
Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM: What to Expect on March 18, 2025
The upcoming collaboration between Overwatch 2 and LE SSERAFIM is set to bring a wave of new skins, emotes, and engaging in-game challenges to the game. A trailer released by Overwatch 2 on Twitter (X) on March 11 confirmed the event's details, which were initially hinted at during the Overwatch 2 Spotlight on February 12.
Players can look forward to an array of new skins featuring characters like Mercy, Juno, D.Va, Ashe, and Illari. Additionally, recolored skins from the 2023 collaboration event, including LE SSERAFIM versions of Kiriko, D.Va, Sombra, Tracer, and Brigitte, will be available for purchase. While the unique Concert Clash mode from the previous event won't return, participants will have the opportunity to earn the Legendary Fawksey James Junkrat skin by completing event-specific challenges.
Behind the Scenes of the Collaboration
In an insightful interview with Polygon on March 11, Aimee Denett, the Associate Director of Product Management for Overwatch, shared the team's enthusiasm for the collaboration. Denett stated, "This time around, we wanted to be part of one of the pieces that’s celebrating their new album." She further elaborated that although there isn't a new song specifically created for Overwatch, the team has crafted a visualizer for one of the tracks from "Hot," alongside a comprehensive array of new cosmetics for the event.
Event Details and Livestream
The Overwatch 2 and LE SSERAFIM collaboration event will run from March 18 to March 31, 2025. To build anticipation, an Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM Livestream Event is scheduled for March 17, 2025, at 8:30 PM PST, which will be streamed on Twitch and YouTube. This livestream will feature members of LE SSERAFIM and provide an in-depth look at the new skins and other event content.
