Overwatch 2 Reveals New China-Exclusive Events

Overwatch 2's triumphant return to China on February 19th brings a wealth of rewards and exciting events for players. This relaunch will allow Chinese players to catch up on missed content, including Battle Pass rewards from Seasons 1-9 and participation in popular in-game events.

A key highlight is the upcoming Season 15, which will feature skin bundles inspired by Chinese mythology. While details remain scarce, the potential for new or existing skins, and whether they'll be China-exclusive or part of a broader thematic release, fuels anticipation. The season's launch on February 18th, just prior to the game's official return in China, promises an exciting start.

A recent technical test (January 8th-15th) offered a sneak peek at much of the missed content, including "Overwatch: Classic" and six new heroes. Following this, Blizzard confirmed a multi-week celebratory event, granting access to past in-game events and rewards. Battle Pass rewards from Seasons 1-2 will be available pre-launch, with Seasons 3-9 accessible through post-launch in-game events.

Further enriching the pre-Season 15 experience, players globally can participate in "Min 1, Max 3," a 6v6 test (January 21st-February 4th), featuring the classic 2-2-2 team composition. The Lunar New Year and "Moth Meta Overwatch: Classic" events are also planned before Season 15. While Chinese players missed these earlier events, their own unique celebrations are on the horizon. A full Season 15 reveal is expected in early February.
