During Terra’s Legacy, your adventures in Orna will merge with tangible environmental efforts. As you go about your daily routine, the game will guide you to discover areas marred by pollution or littered with garbage.
Once you report these locations through the game, Northern Forge Studios will transform them into Gloomsites. These in-game locales represent the real-world pollution issues we face.
What can you expect at these Gloomsites? You’ll confront the Murk, a formidable enemy embodying waste and pollution. It's like stepping into a scene from "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" or "Princess Mononoke"!
By defeating the Murk, you actively contribute to raising awareness about real-world pollution. You'll have the opportunity to plant trees and grow Gaia apples in these polluted areas. These Gaia apples can then be used to customize your character and enhance their magical abilities.
Other players can also harvest these apples, ensuring everyone benefits from the collective effort. The more players who join forces, the cleaner the world becomes, both within the game and in reality.
Orna is launching Terra’s Legacy as part of the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual event where game developers worldwide collaborate to create events focused on environmental awareness.
