Following today's Nintendo Direct presentation for the Switch 2, Nintendo has officially confirmed the console's price: $449.99.
The Nintendo Switch 2, launching on June 5, 2025, was fully unveiled today, with pre-orders set to begin on April 9.
“The Nintendo Switch 2 represents the next evolution of at-home gaming that you can take with you, building on eight years of play and innovation that started with the original Nintendo Switch,” said Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa.
“Featuring new capabilities that broaden the potential of gaming, I am confident that the Nintendo Switch 2 is a significant step forward in our mission to bring smiles to people through our products.”

The Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle has a suggested retail price of $499.99 in the United States. This bundle includes the console and a digital download code for Mario Kart World, which will be available starting June 5, the same day as the console's launch. Since Mario Kart World is priced separately at $79.99, purchasing the bundle effectively gives you the game for $30 less.
It's natural for people to be curious about the cost of a new console, and the Nintendo Switch 2's price has been a topic of particular discussion due to the unique economic climate of its release. As industry experts noted back in January, factors such as supply chain challenges and potential tariff uncertainties may have influenced Nintendo's pricing strategy.
