A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner stunned audiences by conquering the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the legendary RPG during Japan's Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event - where play sessions were strictly limited to just 10 minutes.
As reported by VGC, Japanese streamer Ikaboze pulled off this incredible feat using a mystery save file with random equipment. In a bold move, he decided to "take down the final boss completely naked with all gear removed." The unknown save unexpectedly placed him directly into the climactic battle against Ganon, which he triumphantly concluded in just seven minutes - drawing spontaneous cheers from amazed spectators.

What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable? Ikaboze performed it using unfamiliar controller settings while battling convention hall noise that completely drowned out the game audio.
"I was shocked by the crowd that formed," Ikaboze later shared. "Even staff members were recording on their phones. Since nobody had completed the Breath of the Wild demo before, the team actually congratulated me afterward."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild introduces substantial upgrades including enhanced graphics and smoother performance, a new achievement system, and integration with Nintendo's "Zelda Notes" service via Switch Online. Existing Switch owners can purchase these enhancements through a $10 upgrade pack rather than receiving them automatically. Notably, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers get access to upgrade packs for both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom at no additional cost.
Here's the pricing breakdown for Nintendo Switch 2 Edition titles in the U.S. (non-upgrade purchases):
- Kirby and The Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crossed World - $79.99
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - $69.99
- Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV - $79.99
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - $79.99
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders launched April 24 at the unchanged $449.99 price point - and predictably flew off virtual shelves. Meanwhile, Nintendo issued notices to U.S. customers who secured Switch 2 pre-orders through My Nintendo Store, warning that overwhelming demand may delay launch day deliveries.
