Monster Hunter Now Season 7: New Exploration Base Incoming

Niantic is rolling out the next major update for Monster Hunter Now with Season 7: Advent of the Exploration Base. Launching on September 18, 2025, this official fall season introduces new monsters, the full-scale debut of exploration bases, enhanced style customization, and fresh armor skills.

The Monster Roster Expands

Hunters can pursue Espinas, Garangolm, and Lunagaron from the season's start. Then, on September 22nd, the Riftborne Deviljho will emerge as a new Riftborne monster, and its weapons will also become eligible for style customization.

The style customization system, first introduced in Season 6, is receiving a significant upgrade. Parameters will now increase more substantially with each level, allowing customized weapons to match the power of the game's strongest gear.

Exploration bases, previously available in beta, are launching globally for all players in Season 7. Connected to local landmarks, these cooperative hubs grow more powerful through player interaction, functioning similarly to PokéStops in Pokémon GO.

New armor sets for Espinas, Garangolm, and Lunagaron introduce six powerful skills: Pursuit increases damage after breaking a monster part for the first time; Ballistics extends the critical range for arrows and ammo; Reckless boosts damage at the cost of disabling perfect evades; Guard Up allows blocking normally unblockable attacks; and Vital Fire/Vital Ice increase elemental values based on remaining health.

Selectable Monster Groups Arrive

A major new feature allows hunters to choose which groups of monsters appear in their area. Additionally, weapon progression is being streamlined—forging and upgrading most weapons will require fewer materials starting in Season 7.

With so much new content arriving, prepare for the season's launch by downloading Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store.
