Monopoly GO's Swap Packs: A Guide to Trading Stickers
Scopely's Monopoly GO has introduced Swap Packs, a new type of sticker pack allowing players to exchange unwanted stickers before adding them to their collection. This guide explains Swap Packs and their functionality.
What are Swap Packs in Monopoly GO?
Swap Packs are a recent addition to the existing sticker pack system in Monopoly GO. Previously, players received stickers of varying rarities (1-star to 5-star) without the option to exchange them. The valuable Wild Sticker allowed for claiming any missing sticker, but Swap Packs offer a more proactive approach to collection management.
Unlike standard packs, Swap Packs let players redraw their initial sticker selection. This allows for swapping unwanted stickers before they're added to a player's collection. Importantly, Swap Packs only contain 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star stickers, guaranteeing rarer rewards.
How Do Swap Packs Work in Monopoly GO?
Swap Packs are earned as rewards, often from in-game events (e.g., Harvest Racers). Upon opening a Swap Pack, players receive an initial set of stickers. However, they aren't immediately added to the collection. Instead, the game presents a selection of alternative stickers for exchange.
Players have three swap attempts per pack. Swapping a duplicate gold sticker doesn't guarantee another gold sticker. Once satisfied with the chosen stickers, players click "Collect" to finalize the selection and add them to their collection.
