Marvel Snap's Sanctum Showdown: A New Limited-Time Mode
Get ready for a spellbinding showdown! Marvel Snap has launched a new limited-time mode, Sanctum Showdown, offering a unique competitive experience. This two-week event introduces a fresh take on gameplay with altered snapping mechanics and a focus on a special Sanctum location.
How to Play Sanctum Showdown:
- New Win Condition: Forget turn six; the first player to reach 16 points wins!
- The Sanctum Location: This location is key, awarding the most points each turn.
- Strategic Snapping: Starting on turn three, you can snap once per turn, boosting the Sanctum's point value and keeping the pressure on.
- Scrolls and Rewards: Entering a match costs one Scroll, but victory earns you another. You begin with 12 Scrolls, replenishing two every eight hours. More Scrolls can be purchased for 40 Gold. Every match, win or lose, increases your Sorcerer Rank and awards Charms redeemable in the Sanctum Shop for cosmetics and new cards.
Banned Cards and Locations:
For balanced gameplay, certain cards and locations are banned in Sanctum Showdown. Cards that manipulate final scores or employ strategies that could dominate the mode (such as Debrii) are excluded. Don't expect Captain Marvel or Dracula to be your go-to heroes here!
Unlock Exclusive Cards:
Looking to add Laufey, Gorgon, or Uncle Ben to your collection? Sanctum Showdown offers your only chance to obtain these cards before their March 13th Token Shop release. Participate in Portal Pulls for a free shot at unlocking them, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.
