Let's dive into this month's Marvel Snap (Free) deck-building guide, making up for last month's slightly delayed edition. A fresh month and season brings new challenges, and I'm here to help you stay competitive. Last month saw a decent balance, but the new season introduces new cards, shaking things up considerably. Let's explore the meta, remembering that today's winning deck might be tomorrow's also-ran. This guide offers insights, but remember to experiment and adapt your strategy.

Most of these decks represent the current top-tier strategies, assuming a complete card collection. I'll highlight five top-performing decks and a couple of more accessible, fun alternatives.

The Young Avengers cards haven't caused a massive upheaval. Kate Bishop remains strong, Marvel Boy boosts 1-cost decks, but others haven't significantly impacted the meta. However, the new Amazing Spider-Man and the Activate ability are game-changers, promising a very different landscape next month.

Kazar and Gilgamesh

Kazar and Gilgamesh Deck

Included Cards: Ant-Man, Nebula, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, Caeira, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird

Surprisingly, a Kazoo deck tops the charts, thanks to the Young Avengers. The core remains familiar: low-cost cards buffed by Kazar and Blue Marvel. Marvel Boy adds extra buffs, and Gilgamesh thrives in this environment. Kate Bishop provides flexibility and reduces Mockingbird's cost. A strong performer, but its longevity remains to be seen.

Silver Surfer Still Never Dies, Part II

Silver Surfer Deck

Included Cards: Nova, Forge, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Hope Summers, Nocturne, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Absorbing Man, Gwenpool

Silver Surfer remains a powerhouse, with minor adjustments for balance changes and new cards. The classic Nova/Killmonger combo boosts early cards. Forge enhances Brood's clones, Gwenpool buffs your hand, Shaw benefits from buffs, Hope provides extra energy, Cassandra Nova drains opponent's power, and Surfer/Absorbing Man secures victory. Copycat replaces Red Guardian as a versatile tool.

Spectrum and Man-Thing Ongoing

Spectrum and Man-Thing Deck

Included Cards: Wasp, Ant-Man, Howard the Duck, Armor, US Agent, Lizard, Captain America, Cosmo, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Spectrum

The Ongoing archetype also excels. Cards with Ongoing abilities receive a final-turn buff from Spectrum. The Luke Cage/Man-Thing synergy is potent, with Luke protecting cards from US Agent. This deck is relatively easy to play, and Cosmo's utility is likely to increase.

Discard Dracula

Discard Dracula Deck

Included Cards: Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Moon Knight, Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula, Proxima Midnight, MODOK, Apocalypse

A classic Apocalypse-style Discard deck, featuring Moon Knight (buffed for improved performance). Morbius and Dracula are key cards, aiming for a final-round Apocalypse play, transformed into Mega-Drac by Dracula, while Morbius benefits from discarding. The Collector can provide unexpected advantages.

Destroy

Destroy Deck

Included Cards: Deadpool, Niko Minoru, X-23, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Deathlok, Attuma, Nimrod, Knull, Death

The Destroy deck, with minor tweaks. Attuma's recent buff makes him a valuable addition. Focus on destroying Deadpool and Wolverine, generating extra energy with X-23, and finishing with Nimrod or Knull. The absence of Arnim Zola reflects the increasing prevalence of counter-measures.

Here are a couple of fun decks for those with smaller collections or seeking variety:

Darkhawk Is Back (Did He Ever Leave?)

Darkhawk Deck

Included Cards: The Hood, Spider-Ham, Korg, Niko Minoru, Cassandra Nova, Moon Knight, Rockslide, Viper, Proxima Midnight, Darkhawk, Blackbolt, Stature

A fun deck built around Darkhawk. Korg and Rockslide add cards to the opponent's deck. It includes disruptive cards like Spider-Ham and Cassandra Nova, along with discard effects to reduce Stature's cost.

Budget Kazar

Budget Kazar Deck

Included Cards: Ant-Man, Elektra, Ice Man, Nightcrawler, Armor, Mister Fantastic, Cosmo, Kazar, Namor, Blue Marvel, Klaw, Onslaught

A beginner-friendly version of the Kazar deck. While less consistent than the top-tier version, it teaches the core combo mechanics, featuring Kazar, Blue Marvel, and Onslaught.

This month's guide concludes here. The new season and potential balance changes will likely reshape the meta by October. The Activate ability and Symbiote Spider-Man will be major factors. It's interesting to see classic decks return to prominence, but this is unlikely to last. Until next time, happy snapping!
