NetEase Games has announced an exciting roadmap for Marvel Rivals, promising to introduce a new hero every month and a half as part of their seasonal updates. In an interview with Metro, the studio's creative director, Guangyun Chen, outlined the post-launch strategy, stating, "Every season we'll be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We'll actually be breaking down each season into two halves." Each season spans three months, and a new hero will be introduced in each half-season, ensuring a continuous stream of fresh content to keep the community engaged and excited.

Marvel Rivals kicked off Season 1: Eternal Night Falls with a bang, introducing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second half. These iconic characters have set a high bar, and fans are eagerly anticipating who will join the roster next. With the game already featuring a robust lineup including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm, the possibilities for future additions are vast. Rumors suggest that Season 2 might see the inclusion of Blade, with fans also clamoring for characters like Daredevil, Deadpool, and other X-Men members.

In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 brought a series of balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised in the future. The game's success has shown no signs of slowing down, and NetEase is committed to expanding the roster and enhancing the player experience. For more updates, players can stay tuned to how some are using the Invisible Woman to combat an alleged bot problem, the latest Hero Hot List, and discussions around the use of mods despite the risk of bans.
