Once dismissed as impossible, a Marvel Rivals release on the Nintendo Switch 2 now seems increasingly likely. NetEase previously rejected a launch on the original Switch due to technical limitations, but the upcoming console could alter that reality.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed active discussions with Nintendo. The primary hurdle? Guaranteeing a consistently smooth gaming experience on the new hardware. Wu stated, "The first-generation Switch simply didn’t have the power to deliver the gameplay experience we envisioned. But if the Switch 2 can handle it, we’re absolutely ready to bring the game to the platform."

The officially announced Nintendo Switch 2 is already attracting major industry players. Phil Spencer hinted at Xbox bringing its games to the system, and Electronic Arts (EA) also expressed support.
Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals continues to expand, with the Fantastic Four slated to join the roster in future updates.
