Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon card, showcases the red-white color pairing's focus on the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem (introduced in Battlebond). Its 3 power allows it to crew vehicles, while its activated ability creates Pilot tokens for additional vehicle support. This makes it a strong contender for red-white Aetherdrift draft decks.
The rare card, Count on Luck, is a 3-mana enchantment with a straightforward yet powerful effect. At the start of each of your turns, you exile the top card of your library and may play it that turn. This "impulse draw" mechanic consistently provides extra cards for mono-red decks, offering strategic flexibility—use the card immediately or lose the opportunity.
Finally, we reveal Count on Luck's extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. The extended-art version offers a wider view of the artwork, while the First-Place Foil cards, shiny golden versions, are exclusive to a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with each Aetherdrift box. All rares in the set, along with 10 full-art lands, receive this premium treatment.
Aetherdrift launches in paper and online on February 14th, with prereleases starting February 7th. Learn more about the set's mechanics here.
