The much-anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has been released, giving fans an exciting glimpse into the world of this beloved Disney classic. The trailer showcases Maia Kealoha in the role of Lilo, Courtney B. Vance as the stern yet caring Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen portraying the eccentric Pleakley. While previous teasers have highlighted Stitch, this trailer focuses more on Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, a character originally brought to life by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated film.
The trailer also introduces us to the dynamic between Cobra Bubbles and the alien duo, Jumba (played by Zach Galifianakis) and Pleakley. An intriguing plot twist suggests that Jumba and Pleakley will spend some time disguised as humans on Earth, though we do catch a fleeting glimpse of Pleakley in his true alien form.
Fans will be delighted to see iconic scenes from the original film recreated in live-action, including Stitch's dramatic entrance as a falling star, his transformation into a dog-like creature at the shelter, and the heartfelt moment when Lilo declares, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, adding to Disney's growing list of live-action remakes of classic animated films. It follows closely on the heels of the live-action adaptation of *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
