Konosuba: Fantastic Days Announces Closure, Offline Version Possible

KonoSuba: Fantastic Days to Conclude Service on January 30, 2025

Sesisoft's popular RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, will be ending its service on January 30th, 2025, after nearly five years of operation. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously. However, a glimmer of hope remains for fans.

An offline version is reportedly under development, allowing players to revisit the main storyline, key quests, and significant events. Details are scarce, and the developers haven't confirmed its release.

In-App Purchases and Refunds

The developers are handling the shutdown with consideration. Official channels will close on February 28th, 2025, and in-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024.

Players can still utilize existing Quartz and in-game items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025, for eligible players.

A Look Back at KonoSuba: Fantastic Days

Initially launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days was the first mobile game adaptation of the KonoSuba franchise. The game featured an engaging story set in a world threatened by the Devil King's army, along with charming storytelling, appealing visuals, and a well-executed visual novel-style story mode.

Sadly, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days shares the fate of many gacha RPGs that have closed this year, often due to challenges in maintaining player engagement or managing high production costs.

If you haven't yet experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, you have a few months left to play before the servers shut down. Download it now from the Google Play Store. Don't forget to check out our other news on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's Conqueror's Guild for PvP Battles!
