I've been using the Kindle since its earliest model, and I find it superior to any other reading method. It has encouraged me to read more than I would with traditional paper books. While there's nothing wrong with physical books, the Kindle's ease of use and compact design are unmatched.
Kindles use e-ink technology, which mimics the look of paper, allowing you to read comfortably in any lighting condition, from bright sunlight to dim artificial light. The device only consumes power when you turn the page, use the backlight, or keep Wi-Fi on. In Airplane mode, you can go weeks, even months, without needing to charge it. I often forget where I've left my charging cable because I charge it so infrequently.
