Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that reflects your relationship progress, influenced by your interactions.
To cultivate a romance with a particular NPC, engage with them daily, which can be seamlessly integrated into your town activities. Regular conversations can significantly impact their affection towards you. Additionally, fulfilling any requests they post on the town board is a surefire way to increase their heart gauge. Most crucially, you can gift them an item they enjoy once per day. These gifts vary by character and can be gathered or crafted. On their birthday, presenting a gift they love can provide a substantial boost to their heart meter.
It's important to note that currently, NPC heart gauges can reach up to six hearts. After achieving this, a cutscene with your chosen NPC will hint at budding feelings, though not a full romance yet. Future updates, as per the game's roadmap, will introduce 8 and 10-heart events, and eventually, options for marriage and children, ensuring your romance in Mistria has room to flourish.
