Japanese Switch 2 Priced More Affordably Than International Model
Dual Language System Versions Confirmed for Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 will feature distinct pricing tiers for Japan and international markets, offering two configurations: a Japanese-language exclusive model and a multilingual system. The domestic version will retail for approximately $330, while the global multilingual edition carries a $449.99 price tag - a $120 difference primarily influenced by the yen's current weakness against the US dollar, which discourages overseas purchases within Japan.
Japanese residents retain access to both versions, though the language-restricted model imposes regional limitations. This version exclusively supports Japanese interfaces, ties to Nintendo Accounts registered in Japan, and only permits downloads from the Japanese eShop.
For international consumers and multilingual users, Nintendo recommends purchasing the global edition. Full specifications for the multilingual system will be announced April 4.
