Six Invitational 2025 Format
The format for Six Invitational 2025 remains unchanged from 2024, but for those new to the event, here's a quick rundown. The tournament unfolds in two phases: a group stage and a double elimination playoff.
In the group stage, teams are divided into four groups and compete in a round-robin format. Every match is crucial, not just for survival, but for securing a favorable seeding in the playoffs.
The top four teams from the group stage advance directly to the upper bracket of the playoffs, starting with a bye into the second round and securing at least a 9th-12th place finish. Teams finishing second and third in their groups also enter the upper bracket, but they start in the first round, where they can afford to lose once before being eliminated. Teams that come in fourth in their groups start in the lower bracket, where every match is a must-win situation. Unfortunately, fifth-place teams are eliminated from the tournament.
