While their acquisition and use might not be immediately apparent, this guide clarifies their purpose and acquisition methods. How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker
Bright Blood, the most common resource, is earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to Hub vendors also yields Bright Blood.
Its uses include:
- Looting Blades and Rails from corpses in the Overgrowth.
- Opening Stashes and crates in the Overgrowth.
- Purchasing gear from Overgrowth and Hub vendors.
- Upgrading gear at Hub vendors.
How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker
Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game Cycles involve dying four times, depleting all Rezes. Afterward, an NPC near the Hub's Telepad requires specific materials to reset the Overgrowth, progressing towards Gold Ration acquisition.
Gold Rations are key to meta-progression, enabling permanent upgrades via Pherus Bit in the Hub and unlocking new vendor services.
How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker
Abyss Stones are dropped by defeating Crowns, challenging bosses found via Overgrowth gates. Prism collection (locations marked by yellow diamonds on the map) is required before Crown battles.
Similar to Gold Rations, Abyss Stones facilitate meta-progression. Use them to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters during loadout confirmation before entering the Overgrowth.
How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker
Keys are occasionally found in unmarked small containers within the Overgrowth.
Their primary function is bypassing barriers in the Overgrowth, granting access to Stashes and other containers, and unlocking entry to Labs containing enemies and loot.
How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker
MediGems, crucial for Medkit acquisition, are obtained by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. They're exchanged for Medkits upon deploying from the Hub's Telepad or visiting Overgrowth Shrines.
Medkit capacity must be expanded to one (using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit in the Hub) before MediGems can be utilized.
How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker
Cores, another meta-progression resource, are sometimes found in Overgrowth Stashes (marked by chest icons) or crafted by combining four Core Shards. Shards are earned from enemies that drop Prisms (yellow diamond markers) and unmarked lootable objects.
Cores upgrade Sycoms during loadout confirmation, enhancing Breaker stats before entering the Overgrowth.
How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker
Materials are primarily obtained by using Bright Blood to open small chests (often marked with gems) in the Overgrowth, and also by selling gear at the Hub.
They're used to purchase gear from Hub and Overgrowth vendors, functioning similarly to Bright Blood, but with more limited applications.
