Hold on, Hollow Knight fans — we’re almost there. Hollow Knight: Silksong is set to launch this coming Thursday, September 4 on PC, Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series for $19.99 / €19.99 / ¥2300.
The long-awaited sequel to the award-winning metroidvania puts you in control of Hornet as you explore all-new lands, unlock powerful new abilities, face relentless swarms of insects and creatures, and uncover ancient secrets tied to your origins and past.
Team Cherry officially revealed Hollow Knight: Silksong’s September 4, 2025, release date at gamescom. The announcement came via a nearly two-minute trailer from Team Cherry, showcasing extensive new gameplay footage. We see Hornet wandering through eerie graveyards, misty swamps, a vibrant city, encountering new insectoid NPCs, battling fresh enemies, confronting formidable bosses, navigating an Ori-inspired escape sequence, and more.
Here’s when the game will go live in your timezone, as confirmed by Team Cherry earlier this week. And unfortunately, there’s no way to gain early access.
