Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features
Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting updates, including new gameplay mechanics, features, and a fresh batch of expansions, mini-sets, and Battlegrounds seasons. The overwhelmingly positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft mini-set has clearly energized Blizzard, leading to an ambitious roadmap for the year.
What's in Store for the Year of the Raptor?
A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update ushers in a new era for Arena, promising a revitalized experience for both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike.
Cosmetics are also getting a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, alongside a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though the specifics remain under wraps for now.
The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals start next week, but you can already participate in in-game celebrations. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.
