Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial upgrade! Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, including a revamped minion lineup, new features, and a cosmic theme.

Key Features:

  • Bob's Technotavern Overhaul: Prepare for a complete refresh of the Tavern! This season resets ratings and eliminates Trinkets, replacing them with exciting new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens allow you to reroll a hero option at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable choices.

  • Staggered Minion and Hero Reveals: The reveal schedule is as follows:

    • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
    • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
    • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
    • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
    • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
    • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.
  • Three New Heroes: Season 9 introduces three brand-new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating significant buzz thanks to his Galaxy's Lens ability.

  • Minion Pool Reshuffle: Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either entering or leaving the pool, ensuring fresh strategic possibilities.

  • Solo Battlegrounds Damage Cap Adjustment: A new damage cap is implemented in solo games only: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. The cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

  • Phased Minion Release:

    • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs are added.
    • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the fray.
    • December 9th: Undead and Elementals complete the lineup.
