Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden throughout Act 3, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," don't function like typical quest items. They aren't logged, and unlike most quest items, they aren't traded for quest progression or rewards. Instead, they're valuable sellable items.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), the Vaal city at its zenith. Here, and in the connected area Aggorat, you'll find the Golden Idols. They aren't random enemy drops; instead, they're located on the ground or pedestals, usually in side rooms.

Selling Your Treasures
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the northern part of the area. He's the only vendor who will buy these unique items. Their individual gold values are:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as high-value currency, it's recommended to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your bag space.
