Genshin Impact 5.5: Android Controller Support Added

Genshin Impact fans on Android, rejoice! The long-awaited controller support is finally making its way to your devices with the upcoming Version 5.5 update. While iOS users enjoyed this feature since 2021, the wait is now over for Android players.

When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?

Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025, as this is when you'll be able to seamlessly connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of Genshin Impact without the need for touchscreen controls. The update will officially support four types of controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind, all of these require Bluetooth connectivity.

In addition to controller support, Version 5.5 is packed with several quality-of-life enhancements. One of the standout features is the cross-scene quest tracking, allowing you to follow quests across different areas effortlessly. Simply open the map and teleport directly to your desired location to continue your adventure.

New players will benefit from updated boss guides, which will provide clearer insights into enemy mechanics. Furthermore, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all set for optimizations. While the specifics of these updates will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th, you can stay ahead by tuning into the Developer’s Discussion for March.
