FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have exciting news for fans of the Oceanhorn series: the upcoming game, Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, is set to release on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in Q2 2025. This new installment takes place 200 years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm and introduces a fresh twist to the beloved franchise.
What’s the Story in New Game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?
Forget the high seas; Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon plunges you into the heart of a treacherous underground labyrinth. This dungeon crawler brings a retro feel to the series, where you'll explore the depths of a perilous dungeon.
The world of Gaia is in turmoil. The once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia is now a fragmented archipelago, and the legendary White City is but a distant memory. However, four brave adventurers refuse to accept this fate. They embark on a quest to conquer the Chronos Dungeon, an enigmatic underground complex rumored to house the powerful Paradigm Hourglass.
The Paradigm Hourglass is an artifact capable of rewriting history. If these heroes can navigate the dangers within the dungeon, they might just restore the world to its former glory.
The developers have released an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. You can watch it right here.
What About the Features?
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon embraces the classic dungeon crawler genre with a nostalgic 16-bit arcade style. Designed for couch co-op, it allows up to four players to join forces for an immersive side-by-side gaming experience.
If you're playing solo, you have the flexibility to control all four heroes or switch between them as needed. The game's challenges are dynamic, with heroes starting with different stats each time, influenced by their zodiac signs, ensuring that no two playthroughs are ever the same. The four playable characters include the Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage.
Beyond its pixel art visuals, the game features a chiptune-inspired soundtrack and a host of old-school arcade elements, adding to its retro charm.
The Steam page for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is now live, where you can find more detailed information about FDG's latest venture.
