Secure the Dogwood Village Bow Early and Free in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you wanting better weaponry. This guide shows you how to acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a groat.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map. Even if you opt for the miller's path, this location remains easily accessible.
The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). Follow the western road out of Troskowitz, then continue north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This inconspicuous area houses a small training ground.
You'll find a target with arrows – collect these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, lies the Dogwood Village Bow. While you're there, gather nearby brew and mushrooms.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Given its free, readily available alternative, purchasing it is generally not recommended. However, Vitek offers other, superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.
Having a ranged option significantly eases combat, especially considering the game's difficulty settings. Whether you choose the free bow or pursue other weapons, ranged combat provides a valuable advantage.
After obtaining the bow, you can continue your blacksmith job (saving after forging a sword), or proceed with the miller's path to continue the main quest.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
