FragPunk, a new 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter, has launched on PC, receiving a mixed 67% rating on Steam based on initial player reviews. The game's unique selling point is its innovative use of fragment-cards. These dynamically alter gameplay mid-match, creating diverse and unpredictable battles. Developers describe the cards as combinable, counteracting each other, and adding a significant layer of tactical depth to the core FPS experience.
Players can select from 13 unique launchers, each boasting special abilities, catering to both collaborative and solo playstyles. FragPunk allows players to showcase individual skill in online matches.
However, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced an unexpected delay for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions. Initially scheduled for a March 6th release across all platforms, unforeseen technical issues forced a postponement just two days prior to launch. A new release date remains unannounced, but the developers assure players they will provide updates as they become available.
