Hatsune Miku is coming to Fortnite! The virtual pop star will debut on January 14th, bringing two new skins to the game. Her classic look will be available in the item shop, while a NEKO Miku skin will be part of a new Festival Pass. Expect additional Miku-themed cosmetics and music to accompany her arrival.
This collaboration continues Fortnite's tradition of featuring iconic figures from various pop culture realms. The game's monetization model, centered around seasonal battle passes, has consistently delivered a diverse roster of celebrities and fictional characters, from DC and Marvel superheroes to Star Wars icons. Miku's inclusion aligns perfectly with Fortnite's recent trend of incorporating anime-inspired aesthetics, especially given the current Chapter 6 Season 1 ("Hunters") theme, which draws heavily from Japanese culture.
A recently released trailer showcases Miku in Fortnite's Festival game mode, a rhythm-based experience.
