Charlie Cox's Daredevil has successfully transitioned from Netflix to the MCU. Could we see other Defenders make a comeback as well? Iron Fist actor Finn Jones recently expressed his eagerness, stating: "I’m here and I’m ready."
Jones last portrayed Danny Rand seven years ago in Season 2 of the Iron Fist Netflix series and in The Defenders, where the martial arts master joined forces with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
Jones' interpretation of Iron Fist wasn't as well-received by fans as the other Defenders characters, leading some to question whether Marvel would include Iron Fist in its future MCU plans.
However, Daredevil's return to the MCU after Netflix has sparked hope for The Defenders' continuation, with recent reports suggesting Marvel is "exploring" the possibility.
At the recent anime convention LaConve in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones acknowledged the criticism of his portrayal of Iron Fist but asked both fans and Marvel for another opportunity.
"[There is a] desire among fans to see that happen," Jones told the convention audience when asked about a potential return as Iron Fist. "There's also a significant number of fans who'd prefer not to see it. I'm fully aware of the critiques surrounding the character and my performance.
"My response to that is, give me a f***ing chance. I'm here and I'm ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the storyline directly from the Netflix Daredevil series, which previously hosted its own smaller Marvel universe through shows like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. These series and the broader Defenders Netflix narrative are now officially part of the MCU canon, positioned alongside other MCU shows and films on Disney+. Jon Bernthal's Punisher, originally a Netflix exclusive, also makes an appearance in Daredevil: Born Again.
