"Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 Development Progressing - Director"

Game director Hamaguchi has shared that the team behind the highly anticipated sequel is diligently working on the project. He has urged fans to remain patient, assuring them that new details will be revealed in due time. Hamaguchi highlighted that 2024 was a banner year for the second installment of the trilogy, Final Fantasy Rebirth, which not only clinched numerous awards but also captivated a global audience. The team is now focused on broadening the Final Fantasy VII fan base and promises to introduce unique challenges in the upcoming third installment.

Interestingly, Hamaguchi also mentioned being impressed by another major title this year, Grand Theft Auto VI. He expressed solidarity with the Rockstar Games team, acknowledging the intense pressure they face following the monumental success of GTA V.

While specifics about the third game remain under wraps, Hamaguchi reassured fans that development is progressing smoothly. It's worth noting that the team is still actively working on the recently released Final Fantasy Rebirth, which hit the market less than a year ago. Hamaguchi teased that players can expect something truly unique from the next installment.

On another note, the launch sales for Final Fantasy XVI in May 2024 were disappointing and did not meet the fiscal year's projections. The exact sales figures have not been disclosed. Similarly, Square Enix has not released the latest sales data for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which also fell short of expectations. However, the company remains optimistic, stating that the sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are not considered complete failures. There is still hope that Final Fantasy XVI can reach its targets within the next 18 months.
