In *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, players navigate a sizable world map, though the game isn't classified as an open-world title. Initially, the explorable map area is quite manageable, making it easy for players to get around. However, as the main storyline progresses and additional provinces unlock, traversing the map can become time-consuming and cumbersome. This challenge is further amplified by the constant unlocking of new skirmishes and requests, often requiring players to backtrack across vast areas. Fortunately, mastering the art of fast travel in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* can significantly cut down on travel time, especially for those looking to complete all side content.
How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
*Dynasty Warriors: Origins* enables players to fast travel to various Waymarks by accessing the Map screen. Before you can fast travel to a Waymark, you must first unlock it. To do this, simply approach the Waymark on the world map and hold down the X button if you're on PlayStation or the A button if you're using an Xbox controller. Once unlocked, the Waymark will become visible on the map screen, ready for you to fast travel to it at any time.
When you're not engaged in combat, you can access the map in two ways: by interacting with an unlocked Waymark on the world map or by pausing the game and cycling to the Map menu using the shoulder buttons. PlayStation users can streamline this process even further by pressing the Dual Sense touchpad while on the world map, saving precious seconds in the process.
On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark will reveal nearby key locations or battles. If you're on the hunt for a specific battle or location, press the Square button on PlayStation or the X button on Xbox to toggle additional information. From there, you can cycle through a list of available battles and locations using the Triangle button on PlayStation or the Y button on Xbox. Once you've selected your desired destination, click on it to move the cursor to the nearest Waymark, allowing for a swift transition to your chosen spot.
