Farlight Games Launches Ace Trainer in Soft Release for Select Regions

Author : Owen May 20,2025

Farlight had a stellar 2024, continuing their successful partnership with Lilith Games to bring AFK Journey to the eager idle RPG community. As we step into 2025, Farlight is not slowing down, with their latest venture, Ace Trainer, currently in soft launch in regions such as South Korea and the US. Let's explore what this intriguing blend of genres has to offer.

Ace Trainer is a delightful nod to the world of Pokémon, where you collect, train, and level up fantastical creatures to battle on your behalf. Farlight has ingeniously added a Palworld-like twist, transforming the game into a tower defense experience as you deploy your creatures against waves of zombies. This shift from traditional turn-based battling adds a fresh layer of strategy and excitement.

But that's not all—Ace Trainer also incorporates pinball mechanics, allowing you to shoot and collect resources, creating an eclectic mix of gameplay elements. While this unique combination may not be ready for a global release just yet, Farlight's decision to soft launch across multiple regions suggests they have high hopes for Ace Trainer.

Describing Ace Trainer as "everything and the kitchen sink" feels apt given the diverse elements it incorporates. From what we've seen so far, it's a mix of PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball—a combination that might be overwhelming. While I'm yet to play it from the UK, the game's ambitious scope raises questions about its long-term viability. However, the inclusion of these popular features might just be the draw for many players.
