"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Walking Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has made its way to Android devices, offering a blend of intriguing elements at a price of $3.99. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this walking simulator introduces players to a hauntingly eerie experience that challenges them with every step.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, players navigate an endless underground passage reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. The game traps you in a repetitive loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and a solitary figure walking towards you are constantly repeating. The core challenge lies in spotting anomalies—be it a poster with a changed graphic, flickering lights, or even a river of blood replacing the floor. The gameplay mechanic revolves around observing these subtle changes and reacting promptly.

If you notice something unusual, you must turn back. If not, continue moving forward. The objective is to reach the eighth exit without faltering, which means correctly identifying and responding to eight consecutive anomalies. Fail to do so, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from liminal spaces and the concept of the Backrooms. It meticulously models real Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo, capturing the essence of claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture. The Exit 8 engages players in actively scrutinizing their surroundings, searching for the smallest details that might indicate danger or shifts in reality. This constant questioning of memory and perception makes each playthrough uniquely unsettling.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took approximately nine months to develop. Following its launch, it garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
