Following months of rumors and speculation, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is now officially confirmed. Bethesda announced via Twitter (X) on April 21 that a dedicated livestream will reveal the remastered edition.
The livestream is scheduled for April 22 at 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT / 4 PM BST on Bethesda's official YouTube and Twitch channels. Check the timetable below for your local streaming time:
Originally Launched in 2006
Oblivion was developed by Bethesda Game Studios and co-published by Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games. Initially planned as an Xbox 360 launch title for late 2005, development delays pushed the Xbox 360 and PC release to March 2006.
A mobile version, developed by Superscape and published by Vir2L Studios, launched in May 2006. The PlayStation 3 version followed in North America in March 2007, with a European release in April 2007. A PSP version was considered but later cancelled. Several bundled editions were also released, combining Oblivion with titles like Fallout 3 and BioShock.
Last week, leaked images from developer Virtuos’ website appeared online, showcasing promotional art and in-game comparisons between the original and the remaster. Additional details emerged confirming the remaster’s release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (with Game Pass), and PC.
