Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion introduces a variety of new ingredients, some easier to locate than others. Mussels, a type of seafood described as a surprisingly water-filtering mollusk, can be particularly challenging to find. Unlike some other shellfish, Mussels only appear in specific Storybook Vale biomes. Their unpredictable spawn locations further complicate the search.
Finding Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Spawn Locations
Mussels are found on the ground throughout Mythopia, specifically within these areas:
- The Elysian Fields
- The Fiery Plains
- The Statue's Shadow
- Mount Olympus
While some players report easily finding Mussels in these locations, others experience less frequent spawns, often concentrated in specific spots. The image below illustrates potential spawn points near trial areas, such as the one near Hades' initial trial in the Elysian Fields.
A cluster of Mussels might also be discovered behind a hidden bush area in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest (as shown above). Unlocking this area may increase Mussel spawns across Mythopia.
Utilizing Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Mussels, unlike other Storybook Vale seafood, aren't used in crafting. Their culinary uses include:
- Garlic Steam Mussels
- Mussel Risotto
- Steamed Mussels
Alternatively, consuming a Mussel restores 150 energy, or you can sell them for 75 Gold Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls.
