Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impacts
Valve continues to deliver surprise updates for Deadlock, this time focusing on targeted adjustments to four heroes and select items. The changes, while seemingly small, significantly impact gameplay.
Calico suffered a substantial nerf. Her Return to Shadows ability received a ten-second cooldown increase, and 20% of its speed boost has been shifted to tier 2. Additionally, the damage output of her tier 2 Leaping Slash has been reduced.
Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations. More notably, his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though the specifics weren't detailed.
Item adjustments include a reduction in stacks for Ammo Scavenger, which also loses its health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina no longer boosts fire rate, and Restorative Shot no longer enhances weapon damage.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first of February. Valve has adopted a flexible update schedule, releasing patches as needed rather than adhering to a fixed timetable. This update serves as a prime example of their new, more agile development approach.
