Following the releases of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, not all experts at CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose to embark on new ventures, such as *The Blood of Dawnwalker*. This new game has been unveiled by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by a veteran of CD Projekt RED, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz.
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz shared his reasons for leaving CD Projekt RED and starting Rebel Wolves. He expressed a desire to pursue something different with his friends, driven by a deep interest in role-playing games and their evolution. Tomaszkiewicz believes that traditional RPG mechanics can be further developed and expanded, leading to some innovative ideas. He noted the challenge of convincing large corporations to take risks with new intellectual property, which ultimately led to the decision to establish their own studio. He emphasized the risk involved in working on novel solutions but highlighted the advantages of a smaller team. In a smaller studio, communication and vision-sharing are more straightforward, making it easier to ignite the "creative fire" and craft something unique.
