The developers at Sad Cat had previously announced a delay for Replaced to 2025, citing the game's development as a "unique challenge." However, the game was initially planned for a 2022 release, which was then pushed back to 2023, and later to the previous year. The studio remains committed to delivering a project of the highest quality, driven by the significant attention it has garnered and the high expectations of eager players.
Replaced was first announced back in 2021 and was showcased during Microsoft's presentation at the now-defunct E3 exhibition.
