Crunchyroll Drops Roguelike Rhythm Game Crypt Of The NecroDancer On Android

Crunchyroll's mobile release of the critically acclaimed rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, is now available on Android! Previously released on PC and with earlier mobile iterations, this Crunchyroll-published version (titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer") boasts a wealth of new content.

What Awaits in the Crypt?

Players take on the role of Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter, venturing into a rhythmically challenging crypt to rescue her missing parent. The roguelike nature ensures each playthrough is unique. Fifteen playable characters, each with distinct styles, add replayability. Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack provides the pulse of the game, demanding players synchronize their movements and attacks to the beat. Failure to maintain rhythm results in immediate peril. Enemies, ranging from dancing skeletons to musically inclined dragons, add to the quirky charm.

More Than Just a Port

This mobile release isn't just a simple port. Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have included remixes, fresh content, and even Danganronpa character skins, appealing to anime fans. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support further enhance the experience. Future updates will include DLC featuring Hatsune Miku and the Synchrony expansion.

Available now on the Google Play Store for Crunchyroll subscribers, Crypt of the NecroDancer offers a unique blend of rhythm and roguelike gameplay. Don't miss out! Also, be sure to check out our other exciting news, including the upcoming Star Trek Lower Decks x Doctor Who crossover!
