How To Find and Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Essence Stones are a new addition to *Fields of Mistria*, introduced in the March 2025 update. These stones are essential for several new features, making them a crucial resource for daily tasks. This guide covers finding, crafting, and using Essence Stones of various sizes.

Where To Find Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

Since the March 2025 update, Essence Stones can be found in chests within the mines. While initially discovered while seeking offering items for the Fire Seal on Floor 60, chests appear on various levels across all biomes and floors. Beware of mimic enemies—they look like chests but will attack you!

You'll find Essence Stones in four sizes: tiny, small, medium, and large. Smaller stones are more common, but larger ones are out there if you explore thoroughly. If hunting for them proves challenging, you can craft them after constructing the Stone Refinery in the mines.

How To Craft Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The Stone Refinery in *Fields of Mistria* allows Essence Stone crafting. This building is part of a new questline added with the March 2025 update, requiring you to build it from scratch within the mines. After completing prerequisite quests, Adeline will enlist your help alongside Olric and Errol.

To build the Stone Refinery, you'll need:

• 200 Wood
• 400 Stone
• 5,000 Tesserae

Once built, you can craft Essence Stones of various sizes. Each requires Stone and Essence, with the quantity varying depending on the size. See the table below:

Besides Essence Stones, the Stone Refinery crafts various common materials, Refined Stone, and rare items like Obsidian and Diamond, making it a valuable hub for crafting supplies.

How To Use Essence Stones in Fields of Mistria

The March 2025 update introduced auto-petting and sprinkler mechanics. Both utilize Essence Stones, with larger stones providing longer durations. Large Essence Stones offer the longest charge.

The auto-petter, linked to the Animal Sprite Statue, automatically pets animals in Large Barns and Coops when an Essence Stone is inserted. This statue is found in a hidden cave near Errol's house (use Dragon's Breath on the entrance). You can also craft more.

The sprinkler mechanic uses the Water Sprite Statue, automatically watering crops within a 2-tile radius. This statue (and crafting scroll) is on a small island east of the beach, past the Lighthouse (use Dragon's Breath to enter). Additional statues can be crafted.
