Set a Watch: Digital Edition has launched on Android. First announced in March, this adaptation transforms the popular cooperative board game for mobile platforms. Developer Acram Digital has faithfully preserved the cooperative essence of the original tabletop experience.
Acram Digital has a strong track record of bringing acclaimed board games to mobile. Their digital portfolio features titles like Stone Age, Concordia, and Charterstone. Other notable adaptations from the studio include Eight-Minute Empire, Tokaido, and Steam: Rails to Riches.
For those unfamiliar with Set a Watch, here's a brief overview. It's a cooperative fantasy adventure board game that blends dice management with roguelite elements. Originally designed by Mike Gnade and Todd Walsh, the game was published by Rock Manor Games in August 2019.
What is Set a Watch: Digital Edition About?
The game retains its core cooperative survival challenge, where a single misstep can end your campaign. You and your band of adventurers must work together to vanquish monsters before the Unhallowed can rise again.
Your mission is to cleanse nine locations before evil acolytes succeed in breaking the seals restraining the Unhallowed. Failure means darkness will consume everything. Each night presents a new journey to thwart the resurrection of an ancient evil.
As a dice-management game, every turn begins with a roll. You allocate these dice to directly attack monsters, power up character abilities, or prepare strategic defenses for upcoming threats.
You are constantly forced to balance your options. Should you light the campfire now to ward off encroaching shadows, scout ahead to identify coming dangers, heal your party, or conserve dice for a pivotal later battle? Mismanaging even one die roll can lead to your party being overwhelmed.
You can select from six unique heroes. Combining different heroes unlocks varied strategies and fresh approaches for each playthrough. Get a look at Set a Watch: Digital Edition in the videos below.
Set a Watch: Digital Edition features 20 distinct locations, over 30 hero abilities, and countless combat possibilities. It is available for download on the Google Play Store.
