Naughty Dog, the renowned studio behind iconic PlayStation titles such as Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, has once again re-released its critically acclaimed The Last of Us series. This time, they've bundled both games into an all-in-one package for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) titled The Last of Us Complete. The announcement and launch of this two-pack collection came today, featuring the 2022 remake The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, allowing players to immerse themselves in the definitive experience of these award-winning games.

Out July 10### The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5

Priced at $109.99, the Collector's Edition is available for pre-order at PlayStation Direct. This bundle promises players the "complete story that inspired the TV show with definitive versions of two award-winning games," enhanced with graphical and gameplay improvements courtesy of the PS5. The collection not only includes the main storylines but also encompasses all bonus content released over the years, such as the Left Behind Ellie-focused prequel DLC, and The Last of Us Part 2's No Return and Lost Levels content.

For fans of the HBO series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who have yet to explore the original video games, The Last of Us Complete offers a comprehensive digital package for $99.99. Naughty Dog's Head of Studio, Neil Druckmann, shared in a PlayStation.Blog post that the physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition, launching on July 10, includes additional collectibles to justify the slightly higher price. These include a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a thank-you letter from Druckmann himself.

Druckmann expressed gratitude in his post, stating, "From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years. This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love."

Originally launched on the PS3 in 2013, The Last of Us has remained a cherished part of the PlayStation catalog. However, its multiple re-releases and remasters have drawn both criticism and praise. The series saw enhanced graphics on the PS4 in 2014, a full remake on the PS5 in 2022, and The Last of Us Part 2, which continued Ellie's narrative in 2020 and was remastered in early 2024. Both titles have also been made available on PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 arriving in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.

The Last of Us Complete consolidates all of Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic offerings into a single package, marking yet another re-release. While some may question the need for revisiting Joel and Ellie’s world, the timing aligns with the premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2, set to air its first episode this Sunday, and the recent greenlighting of Season 3.
